INFO FRANCEINFO. Ultra-right: a man presented as the leader of the “Zouaves Paris” again arrested – franceinfo

Marc de Cacqueray-Valmenier, presented as the leader of the ultra-right group “les Zouaves Paris”, was arrested again on Thursday January 20 because he violated his judicial control by participating in an antivax demonstration at the call of Florian Philippot on Saturday last in Paris, learned franceinfo from a source close to the investigation.

“He was also one of the leaders of this demonstration, since we see him with a megaphone to evoke slogans”, commented Gérald Darmanin, the Minister of the Interior, the same day on franceinfo. His judicial control, however, prohibits him from participating in any demonstration.

This 23-year-old man has been under judicial supervision since last December. He was arrested and then indicted after violence against SOS Racisme activists during a meeting of Éric Zemmour in Villepinte on December 5.

Marc de Cacqueray-Valmenier is presented as the leader of the “Zouaves Paris”, an ultra-right group that appeared in 2017, which was dissolved on January 5 in the Council of Ministers because he called “to hate and violence”, propagated “an openly racist speech” and broadcast “regularly images containing the symbols of Nazi ideology”.
