Sentenced at the end of November in the Tapie affair to a suspended one-year prison sentence and a fine of 50,000 euros, Stéphane Richard handed over his mandate as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. His departure should be effective as of the establishment of a new governance no later than January 31, 2022.
To replace him, Christel Heydemann, vice-president of operations of Schneider Electric or the head of Verizon, Frank Boulben, are expected to take the post of general manager. It will also remain to appoint a president since the functions of CEO will be split. Orange’s board of directors should meet by the end of the month.
