A deal “historical”. Prime Minister Jean Castex welcomed, on Tuesday January 18, the agreement ratifying the increase in wages in the catering and hotel sector signed the day before.
This agreement, negotiated between trade union organizations of employees and employers, provides for a minimum salary 5% higher than the Smic and an average increase of 16.33% of the entire current salary scale. He was signed Monday evening by the only CFDT, but several other unions have already announced that they would not oppose it, thus paving the way for its entry into force.
A second negotiation must open on working conditions and focus on work in “cut”, timetables, but also the “overtime increase, lower in the sector than elsewhere”, said Stéphanie Dayan, national secretary of the CFDT services federation.
