The ex-president has long rejected the crime and sees the revenge of the chairman of the opposition Smer-SD, Robert Fico, behind him. Kiska also argues that he was not charged until a third investigator after the two did not see the crime. The ex-president’s tax case concerns whether his company KTAG could have charged the costs associated with promoting Kisk before the presidential election.

Fico was surprised in the reaction and stated that the presumption of innocence applies and it is up to the courts to decide! According to him, Kiska has nothing to complain about: “He should have thought when he speculated on money to fund his own campaign.”
