At a meeting of the Defense and Security Committee, Mikulec assured the deputies that the terrifying event in Miloslavov, which had brought the whole of Slovakia to its feet, would not be swept under the rug and would be properly investigated. “The fact that the father of one of the actors in the incident is a member of the Police Force has no bearing on the investigation. It is still a living case, many experts have been called in to evaluate some issues. We have to wait, but I think this case will be closed in the near future. ” said Mikulec.

Mikulec also commented on the words of the charged mother Andrey, that the police officers were supposed to call her at the Bratislava criminal only after five days, when she was also photographed for her injuries. However, according to the minister, this is not entirely true, as several actions were already carried out on the spot after the arrival of the patrol. However, because Andrea was drunk, several actions had to be done in the hospital. In addition, the Office of the Inspection Service, which is also investigating events two years ago, has become involved in the case. According to media reports, the children’s gang was supposed to beat several children and make the lives of the villagers more miserable for more than two years.

The cops did not neglect anything

Neither Mikulec nor the regional director of the Bratislava police, Viliam Adamec, have information that patrols went to the village more often in recent months, or that they talked to young people and their parents. The Office of the Inspection Service should investigate the case comprehensively. However, Adamec is satisfied with the work done by his subordinates. “As part of the information they had at the beginning of the investigation, they took all the measures and actions they could take. Of course, we currently have more information about the case, which we might have evaluated differently at the time. I don’t think the cops on the spot would neglect anything. “ Adamec admitted. Mikulec pointed out that the area of ​​the former cooperative should be secured by its owner this week so as to prevent any further youth gatherings at this place. So far, no charges have been filed.

“We were interested in whether the law enforcement authorities did everything as they should,” said Gábor Grendel. They were particularly interested in clarifying the case of the assault on the girl. Grendel sees two conclusions as key – that the inspection will check back for two years what happened in Miloslavov and that the police did not neglect the suggestions from the citizens. The second conclusion is that the police started the prosecution the first night, as the injured Andrea testified. Thus, it started before the whole case was published.

Denisa Saková, Vice-Chairwoman of the Committee and Minister of the Interior (unclassified), pointed out the disproportionate burden on investigators in the district and regional police directorates. According to her, the police are being taken to the National Criminal Agency. “We know that domestic violence is on the rise. I hope that the leadership of the Police Force will be aware of this, will strengthen the capacities in the districts and regions and will not focus only on investigating corruption and economic crime,” she commented.

MP Marián Saloň (Smer-SD) added that the official police had not recorded any similar complaints of bullying or similar crime in the past. According to him, similar cases should also be reported at schools or municipal authorities. He considers it important to investigate the case. “It is a very sensitive, personal matter. I think it is necessary to approach it with great emphasis. The investigation of this case may also affect other cases within Slovakia.” he said that other children may be aware of the consequences of their actions.
