Jubillar case: a farm at the heart of the investigations – BFMTV

New excavations are organized for several days, even weeks, in a large area near the Jubillar home. The area including a farm, already mentioned in the file, is concerned.

A 200 m² installation went up in smoke last April. How can this farm, destroyed by a fire of unknown origin, find itself today at the heart of one of the most mysterious criminal cases, the Jubillar affair? Excavations are again organized in this area located a few minutes drive from the couple’s home.

Since Monday, the gendarmes have established a large perimeter near Cagnac-les-Mines. Many areas, some particularly rugged, but also this agricultural installation which is located in the place called Drignac, about ten minutes by car from the home of Cédric and Delphine Jubillar. Gendarmes, including anthropologists, specializing in forensic archeology, but also soldiers from the FOS section, the “Specialized Operational Search”, are mobilized.

“At the farm that burned down”

This place has already been excavated. He appeared in this file for the first time during the hearing as a witness for Séverine, the new companion of Cédric Jubillar. In front of the investigators, she describes the manipulative, bipolar, sometimes violent personality of her lover and evokes his behavior vis-à-vis the disappearance of his wife.

She believes that he never really looked for her, then clarified that she had asked him directly if he had a link with this disappearance.

He had replied: “I buried her at the farm which burned down”.

At the time, the new companion did not consider it necessary to speak to the gendarmes, believing that it was black humor. A vision shared with the lawyer of Cédric Jubillar who recalls this Monday the “casualness” of his client.

“What is surprising is that he evokes the existence of a farm which burned down when the farm actually suffered a fire 4 or 5 months after the disappearance of his wife”, insists Me Jean- Baptist Allary.

The disturbing testimony of a former co-detainee

The evocation of this farm appears once again in the file when a former co-detainee of Cédric Jubillar confides in the investigators. According to this man’s version, the husband, placed in solitary confinement but communicating with the other prisoners through the windows, would have asked him to contact his new partner when he left prison. The objective is to ensure, according to this man, that Delphine’s body is always well hidden. He then evokes a tree near a farm.

The co-detainee did meet Séverine, the new companion, on several occasions. Placed in police custody last December, she denied knowing where the body was and again mentioned the “black humor” of Cédric Jubillar.

“I never brought the fellow prisoner to the scene, I never went with Cédric to the scene, Cédric never seriously told me that he had killed his wife, except laughing when he spoke to me from the farm”, she confided to BFMTV at the end of her police custody.

The excavations launched on Monday will continue for several days, even several weeks. “It is quite positive that excavations are resuming, welcomes Me Philippe Pressecq, lawyer for several relatives of the young nurse. Cédric Jubillar remained free six months after Delphine’s disappearance. And if he is guilty, the hypothesis that the body could have been moved is not implausible. To search several times seems useful to me.
