Igor Matovič must apologize to Ľuboš Blah for his statement about the “soap of the ram” – TVNOVINY.sk

The Trnava District Court rejected Igor Matovič’s motion to set aside the default sentence, according to which he was to apologize to opposition MP Ľuboš Blah.

According to Jana Kondákorová, a spokeswoman for the Regional Court in Trnava, the decision is not yet valid. “The reason is that the deadline for filing an appeal against this resolution, which rejected the defendant’s motion to set aside the judgment for mixing, is currently running,” Kondákorová explained for tvnoviny.sk.

A member of the Blaha Direction sued the Deputy Prime Minister for his statement of September 24, 2020. Matovič, as the then Prime Minister, spoke at the regular Question Time about the information he received by e-mail from Blah’s alleged classmate.

According to the email, as a student, Blaha had to jump over the garden fence and “soap the ram”. He reacted to the performance of Blahu, who spoke of Paulina Matovičová as a “white mare”.

The default judgment, the so-called default judgment, issued by a court in civil proceedings when one of the parties is passive. In the event of failure to attend the hearing, this means that if the defendant does not appear at the hearing, the court will uphold the action in full and, conversely, if the plaintiff does not appear at the hearing, the court will dismiss the action.
