10:17 WORLD – The French parliament has passed a law that will prevent unvaccinated people from visiting restaurants, sports arenas and other venues. This is a major measure in the government’s efforts to protect hospitals in situations where there is a highly contagious option coronavirus omicron led to a record increase in the number of infections.

10:01 SLOVAKIA – The third dose of the vaccine was given to 15,016 people yesterday, in total there are 1,240,850 people. The second dose was vaccinated 4,002 people yesterday, which is a total of 2,620,783 people, and the first dose vaccines received 1,967 people, a total of 2,775,129 people.

9:58 WORLD – In the past three days, 21,219 people have confirmed the infection in Hungary and 270 patients with Covid-19 died in the same period, the operating staff said on Monday.

In hospitals, they treat 2,630 patients with covid, of which 228 are connected to artificial lung ventilation. One week ago, 2,931 patients were hospitalized from Friday to Sunday, and 281 of them required artificial lung ventilation support.

8:20 WORLD In the United States, a sharp rise in infections has stopped after about a month, according to databases from The New York Times and Johns Hopkins University.

The country currently registers about 800,000 infections per day, and according to the NYT, a wave of the epidemic is already easing in the northeast, which was hit earlier than other regions.

However, the head of the public health office warned that the US is not yet out of the worst.

6:36 WORLD Laboratories in the Czech Republic confirmed 7,235 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, which is the highest Sunday increase since the end of November. Covid was killed by 12 people. However, the number of hospitalized is still declining, their number dropped to 1,505 on Sunday.

As of today, all employees in the Czech Republic, including sole proprietors and company managers, must be tested twice a week with Covid-19 antigen self-test kits. Further testing must be performed no earlier than the third day after the previous one.

In the case of a positive test, the worker is quarantined for five days. He may undergo a validation PCR test and, if negative, may return to work immediately.

6:10 WORLD Members of the lower house of the French parliament, the National Assembly, have approved a bill introducing vaccination cards to replace the current health card. The AFP and AP agencies informed about it.

215 deputies supported the law, 58 were against and seven abstained.

A central measure of the new legislation is that unvaccinated people over the age of 16 will not have access to publicly accessible places such as restaurants, cultural institutions or means of long – distance transport.

0:01 SLOVAKIA – The government approved new measures last week in connection with the expected wave of the new omikron variant.

The measures will take effect on Wednesday 19 January and should remain in force for a maximum of four weeks after the peak of the omicron wave.

The main change is the creation of the OP + regime, which will be required at the most risky events. This means that two doses of the vaccine or overcoming the disease will not be enough to attend the event.

The second important change is the shortening of the time limit after overcoming the covid. So far it has been 180 days. The validity of the vaccination certificate will also be reduced from one year to nine months. This change will take effect on February 1.
