Aktuality.sk informthat, based on their findings, the National Criminal Agency (NAKA) accused the property administrator Ladislav Bašternák Lenka Ivanová “of attempting a particularly serious crime of breach of duty in the administration of foreign property”. As the damage that could have happened to the state is in the millions of euros, Ivan’s face is punishable by a heavy sentence: ten to fifteen years in prison.

She was to blame for the fact that, as a bankruptcy trustee, she did not challenge Bašternák’s procedures when he transferred most of his property to loved ones before his court ruling. For example, he rewrote a luxury villa in Bratislava’s Slavín to his wife. The family also donated or transcribed garages, motorcycles, quad bikes and company shares to acquaintances. However, Ivanová denies any accusations.

“I consider my accusation to be grossly illegal, which is why I filed a complaint against it. I insist I am innocent and I have never committed any crime. “ Ivanová responded for Aktuality.sk. She did not want to comment on whether she testified at the police.

According to the Presidium of the Police Force, which the portal addressed, the case has been under investigation since the autumn of 2020, while Ivanová is so far the only person prosecuted by the police in this regard. The police originally calculated that the property, which at that time had only been disposed of by the accused Bašternák, was worth at least 6.65 million euros.

As Aktuality.sk continues to write, the situation around Bašternák’s property was pointed out by experts and lawyers, the Stop Corruption Foundation, the Ministry of Justice and the original creditor in the Slovenská sporiteľňa bankruptcy. All the appointed administrators called on her to take and file so-called counterclaims. It would be up to the court to agree with the convicted Bašternák or the administrator. However, Ivanová did not even attempt such a transparent procedure.
