One of the greatest comedy talents of the turn of the century, born on January 17, 1962, has become a bit in the last few years. However, he managed to return, and Carrey was given a great opportunity, especially in the series Laughing.

He was said to be a screaming child

Little James Eugene Carrey was said to be a screaming child, but in third grade he found that he had the gift of making his classmates laugh. However, this ability made him quite unbearable as a teenager. When the seventh grade teacher was no longer able to deal with his monkeys and the constant disturbance, she made a deal with him: if she was careful all day, she could make a few performances as a reward at the end of the class.

In the mid-1970s, one of the greatest comic talents of his generation was born in Toronto, Canada. During the film, the actor, whose films later filled cinemas around the world, broke through relatively late, at thirty-two. Although the television comedian Carrey appeared in several films in the 1980s, such as the comedy Peggy Sue is published, the star Ace Ventura: Animal Detective (1994) made him a star. The story of an eccentric detective looking for stray pets has finally catapulted Carrey among the Hollywood stars.

A huge success helped him forget his unhappy childhood

In 2003, he successfully attacked viewers’ wallets with the crazy comedy Divine Bruce (for which he collected a fee of $ 25 million), and a year later his most ambitious film, Eternal Light of the Immaculate Mind, arrived. The multi-layered film garnered critical acclaim for the script, but starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, among others nominated for a Golden Globe.

But then Carrey’s career started to decline a bit, after the quite successful gay comedy I love You Phillip Morris, for example, there was a bit of disappointment with The Return of the Stupid and Dumber (2014) – but rock fans of the genre still came to their senses. Two years ago – just a few weeks before the coronavirus pandemic broke out – a film adaptation of the computer game Hedgehog Sonic came to theaters, where Carrey shone like an evil Dr. Robotnik (and a second installment was added last year). At the same time, he attracted viewers to the screens in the series To Laugh, where he plays the life of a disappointed children’s comedian. His performance earned him another Golden Globe nomination.
