The day after Borussia Dortmund’s victory, Bayern regained a six-point lead in the Bundesliga thanks to their success in Cologne (0-4). Corentin Tolisso took the opportunity to end eleven months without scoring in the league, while Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick. The Leipzig of striker Christopher Nkunku for its part carried out the fine operation of the afternoon by dominating Stuttgart to come back to three small points from third, Hoffenheim, defeated by Union Berlin (2-1).

Five months later, to say things have changed a lot is an understatement. Wolves have at least stopped the bleeding by taking a point, after six consecutive losses. Jérôme Roussillon was the source of two big chances, but neither Luca Waldschmidt (16and) nor Wout Weghorst (18and) found the flaw. The very permeable Berlin defense (already conceded 38 goals) held firm, which is not necessarily surprising when you know that VfL have only scored 17 goals since the start of the championship… Well placed for Europe in November, Florian Kohfeldt’s men have not won since November 6. Without Kevin-Prince Boateng or Stevan Jovetić, Hertha will certainly be satisfied with a result that allows them to stay ahead of their opponents.
