BRATISLAVA. Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) draws attention to the risks of supplementing the Constitution of the Slovak Republic with the possibility of shortening the election period of the National Council of the Slovak Republic by a referendum.

The Prime Minister also reminded that there are currently 20 to 30 Russian soldiers operating in Slovakia, who take care of four MIG fighters.
“These soldiers have free movement in Slovakia and it costs us 50 million euros a year,” he stressed. He also reminded that it was the previous government that bought fighters worth two billion euros from the US.

The prime minister did not say whether the coalition would agree on reforms even without a debt brake and parental bonus, but he still sees hope and believes in a political compromise.
In connection with the parental bonus, he noted that with the Minister of Labor Milan Krajniak (We are family) they talked several times. He wants the topic to be properly discussed and whether there is money in the budget.
Personally, he does not see room for reserve in the numbers presented to him by Krajniak. “Those numbers are not a real source of parental bonus,” Heger said, pointing to the Budget Responsibility Council’s remarks.
He also sees room for the creation of an agreement in the reform of the judiciary in the so-called court map from the workshop of the Ministry of Justice.
“The Minister of Justice has not guarded the milestones and put us at risk, we will have to negotiate very intensively with the European Commission on how to deal with this situation,” he said of the reconstruction fund.
