Only one OTP parent can go to the outpatient clinic with a child: What if they do not meet this condition? – NEW TIME

Only one legal representative in the OTP regime (vaccinated, obsolete, tested) should always enter the pediatric outpatient clinic with the child.

This follows from a new guideline from the Ministry of Health for the provision of health care in the general outpatient clinic for children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If the operation of the outpatient clinic allows, an antigen test may be performed before the examination directly at the outpatient clinic. “If it is shown that the accompanying person does not meet the conditions of the OTP scheme, in particular if he or she shows signs of a respiratory infection, it is not appropriate for him or her to enter the outpatient premises. it is written in the guidelines of the Ministry of Health (MZ) SR.

In this case, the legal guardian should wait during the examination of the child in a separate area or at least as far away from the medical staff as possible. They then inform him about the child’s health care and further treatment.

According to the guidelines, a child and a legal guardian can enter the outpatient clinic only with barrier face protection, in accordance with the currently valid decree of the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic – handrail, respirator FFP2. The exceptions are children and persons listed among the exceptions in the decree.

As far as possible, parents and children should only visit the pediatrician by prior telephone or other appointment. The aim is to ensure epidemiological classification and clinical assessment. According to the guidelines, it is optimal to order children for a specific date so that there is no more than three children, including one accompanying person per child, in the waiting room at the same time.
