They are exactly 24,511 patients to be hospitalized, including 2,486 admitted in 24 hours. Friday January 14, just under 3,900 people are treated in critical care, according to figures published by Public Health France. In total, the number of new confirmed cases remains at a very high level, at 329,371, or 24,049 more than the previous day (305,322).

On the other hand, the number of patients admitted to critical care fell slightly for the second consecutive day, with 3,895 patients (3,939 the day before and 3,985 on Tuesday, against 3,904 on Monday and 3,815 a week ago), including 310 new admissions.

By calculating the average of daily contaminations over the last seven days, which smooths out the differences, the number of Covid cases reaches 294,032, against 267,223 a week ago.

On the vaccination side, nearly 53.52 million people have received at least one injection (i.e. 79.4% of the total population) and more than 52.2 million are fully vaccinated (which represents 77.5% of the population) . In addition, 31.1 million people received a booster dose.
