In total, 70 government websites were targeted overnight from Thursday January 13 to Friday January 14. This is what the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) counted. On the diplomacy side, Ukraine claimed to have “preliminary clues suggesting that hacker groups associated with the Russian secret service may be behind the massive cyberattack”, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko wrote on Twitter.

Ten of these sites were the subject of the“unauthorized interference”, added the SBU, while ensuring that “their content had not been modified and no leak of personal data took place”.

Several Ukrainian government sites were the target Friday of a cyberattack which occurred in the context of high tensions between Kiev and Moscow, accused of preparing an invasion of its Ukrainian neighbor.
