There are 32,150 coronavirus infections in Switzerland today, January 14, 2022, according to numbers and covid data of the bulletin in which reference is made to another 20 deaths. There are 151 hospitalizations for covid-19, according to data from the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPE). Last Friday there were 28,038 cases, 10 deaths and 126 hospitalizations. Currently 677 people are in intensive care. Covid patients occupy 29.70% of available ICU places, with an occupancy rate of 76.70%. Over the last 24 hours, the results of 108,771 tests have been transmitted, with a positive rate of 29.6%, compared to 29.4% last week. The reproduction rate, which is about ten days behind the other data, stands at 1.17. The Omicron variant accounts for 84.4% of cases. In the past fourteen days, the total number of infections is 325,178, or 3,733.66 per 100,000 population. Since the beginning of the pandemic, however, 1,666,355 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In total there are 12,125 deaths. 67.77% of Swiss people have already received two doses of the vaccine. Among the population over 12, the share rises to 77.11%. In addition, 69.99% of people over 65 and 33.04% of the population received the so-called booster.
