According to Lengvarský, there could be emergency medical facilities in every region – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. Emergency medical facilities for patients with the disease COVID-19 could arise in any region. The team of the Ministry of Health is currently working on the premises for their establishment. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Health at a press conference after the government meeting Vladimir Lengvarsky (nominant OĽANO).

“This task is fulfilled with the fact that we have not defined how many devices there will be. They can be switched on, on, as needed, but we calculate that there should be one such device in each county town,” Lengvarský noted.

He added that there could be 100, 200 or 300 beds in each emergency facility, depending on the capacity of the space.

According to Lengvarský, the Ministry communicates with the State Material Reserves Administration and handles the procurement of aids for these facilities. He also deals with the staff who should work there.

Emergency medical facilities for patients with COVID-19 should not be field hospitals, but beds where basic care is provided and patients are sorted. The aim of the intervention is to minimize the number of deaths from COVID-19 at the time of a humanitarian disaster.

Also management of the onslaught on medical facilities, optimization of the use of emergency medical services or timely provision of oxygen therapy to patients with respiratory problems.
