Covid-19: 305,322 new confirmed cases and 24,154 patients hospitalized on Thursday – franceinfo

They are just over 24,000 hospitalized patients, Thursday, January 13. The number of new confirmed cases of Covid-19 stands at 305,322, 56,397 less than the previous day (361,719), according to figures published by Public health France. On the hospital side, they currently have 24,154 patients with Sars-Cov-2, against 23,889 on Wednesday, of which 2,513 were admitted in 24 hours. A higher figure than last week, since a week ago around 21,169 Covid were hospitalized.

The number of patients fell slightly in critical care, which treats the most serious cases, in particular in intensive care, with 3,939 patients (3,985 the day before and 3,759 a week ago), including 334 new admissions.

In 24 hours, 227 people died of the disease, bringing the total number of deaths to 126,530 since the start of the epidemic.

On the vaccination side, 53.46 million people have received at least one injection (79.3% of the total population) and more than 52 million are fully vaccinated (77.4% of the population). In addition, 30.5 million people received a booster dose.
