The Supreme Court released Norbert Bödör. This is related to the decision of the Constitutional Court in December, by which the constitutional judges found a violation of the rights of the oligarch accused in the case of Cattle and Purgatory.

He has been in custody since July 2020, and is being released from the Ilava Detention Institute.

According to spokeswoman Alexandra Važanová, the Supreme Court respected the decision of the Constitutional Court on the complaint of the accused Bödör against the decision of the Specialized Criminal Court on his detention.

The Supreme Court took into account the annulment of the resolution of the Specialized Criminal Court of 15 March 2021 on the instructions of the Constitutional Court and “the consequent consequences in the form of lapse necessarily led to his release from custody. “
