It was an open secret, it’s now official. The ex-polemicist Eric Zemmour formalized his romantic relationship with advisor Sarah Knafo, on BFMTV in the show “Face à BFM” Wednesday evening. To the question “Who is Sarah Knafo?”, Eric Zemmour replied after a brief hesitation: “My collaborator, my companion”.

“There would have been no campaign without Sarah Knafo,” added the far-right candidate of the young enarque. Eric Zemmour added in the wake: “We will stop there” to cut short a new question. “My private life is my private life”.

The relationship between Eric Zemmour and Sarah Knafo had been revealed by Paris Match at the end of summer. On BFMTV, the ex-polemicist confirmed that he was suing the magazine.

The linchpin of his presidential campaign

Sarah Knafo’s name does not appear in the organizational chart of Eric Zemmour’s presidential campaign. However, it plays an essential role with the candidate. Invisible but essential. In the past, she has exercised her talents in embassies and at the communication agency Publicis. His first political engagement was with the UMP before befriending the politician Henri Guaino.

Sarah Knafo, born in Pavillons-sous-Bois (Seine Saint-Denis) in 1993, comes from a Sephardic Jewish family and studied in a private high school of the Alliance Israelite Universelle network. Asked in the book “The new children of the century” by journalist Alexandre Devecchio in 2016, she said: “I am of Jewish faith but I feel of Christian culture. At home, Charles Péguy is as important as the Torah”.

Father of three children

Éric Zemmour is still officially married with the lawyer Mylène Chichportich since 1982. The couple has two boys and a girl: Hugo, Thibault and Clarisse.
