Vice President Damian Imre is Hamran’s longtime associate. “I have no doubt about him,” the police chief stated. He worked at the Border and Alien Police Office as a national expert on asylum and migration. He later worked in the special purpose unit.

Ľubomír Daňek, the new director of NAKA, described Hamran as a pupil of the Office for the Fight against Organized Crime and NAKA. He worked as the head of the Očistec team. Daňko plans to launch a financial investigation and work with the Ministry of Justice to simplify the preparatory procedure.

Churilla has Hamrano’s trust despite ongoing accusations. He noted that the fault or innocence should be decided by law enforcement authorities. He pointed to the decision of the regional court, which speaks of unjustified criminal prosecution. According to Hamran, former police vice presidents Jana Maškarová and Róbert Bozalka have retired.

Hamran also announced further changes in the presidium and regional directorates. He wants to give a chance to officials who meet the condition of a moral compass, experts and must have managerial skills. According to Hamran, his eventual appointment as a regular police president could be a matter of weeks. If he becomes the police president, he will also have to resolve the issue of his position in ATLAS.
