Russia is moving troops and equipment from east to west! Analysts talked about the evidence – NEW TIME

Referring to the material published on the CIT website, the news website Novaya Gazeta and the Ukrinform agency informed about it on Wednesday.

According to Western media and military analysts Moscow has concentrated tens of thousands of troops and hundreds of military equipment in the area in recent months, which in Kiev and in the West raises concerns that it could be preparations for the invasion of Ukraine.

In the last week, CIT analysts have found about 30 videos on social networks, which indicate the transfer of military personnel and technology from Siberia and the Far East to the western regions of Russia. The videos capture military equipment on the roads, but also at railway stations and platform wagons heading west.

According to CIT, the composition of the transported equipment is quite diverse “: trucks, tankers, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles or the Grad and Uragan multiple launch missile systems.

According to CIT, the Tor air defense system or the Šilka air defense system can probably be noticed in the video footage shot in Novosibirsk.

Along with military equipment, staff also travel in passenger and freight cars. However, the exact number of people is difficult to determine.

Personnel and military equipment from the Buryatia, Zabaykalsky region, Amur region and Primorsky region are heading to the west of Russia. CIT believes that military equipment belongs to the formations of the four armies of the Eastern Military District (VVO), while the transfer of equipment and people was also recorded outside the VVO – in the cities of Novosibirsk and Kemerovo.

In connection with these transfers, CIT noted that such activation cannot be justified by local military exercises. CIT therefore believes that the troops and equipment being relocated could join forces concentrated in the Crimean Peninsula and in the regions bordering Ukraine.

The new gazette writes in its material that the New York Times (NYT), referring to sources from American intelligence, claims that Russia plans to increase the number of troops near the border with Ukraine to 175,000. According to the NYT, the invasion of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine – due to weather conditions – could begin in February. Moscow denies these considerations.

Against this background, negotiations on security guarantees began: Russian and US delegations discussed the issue in Geneva on 10 January, and a Russia-NATO Council meeting was held in Brussels on Wednesday. A meeting between representatives of Russia and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe will take place on 13 January in Vienna.

In this situation The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that exercises in the Western Military District will take place in the regions neighboring Ukraine, with the participation of 3,000 soldiers and 300 pieces of military equipment.
