The doctor accused Mazureka of a video published on a social network, in which he criticized him in connection with the pandemic and connected him with the death of a 4-year-old boy. A judge in the Kežmarok District Court ruled in December that Mazurek had to pay Sabak 20,000 euros as defamation compensation within three days. At the same time, he had to delete the video against Sabak from the social network and publish an apology. However, Mazurek then called the decision unprecedented. According to him, the judge abused his power so that he could “ruin my life and deprive me of income in a second.”

Sabaka has now made an offer to the opposition politician. “I therefore hereby publicly propose to Mr Mazurek that he voluntarily donate EUR 20 000 to any hospital in Slovakia where patients with COVID-19 are treated. If Mr Mazurek does so, I publicly promise that the money that I understand that this is a large amount, which is why Mr Mazurek can donate that amount in 10 installments of EUR 2000. The Member’s salary, together with flat-rate compensation, is almost EUR 5,000, and therefore, I think that the donation of a gift distributed in such reasonable installments will not jeopardize the social standard of Mr Mazurek, “ said Sabaka.

He also publicly promised that if Mazurek began sending regular monthly donations of 2,000 euros to the medical facility at his discretion from February 2022 and persisted for the next 10 months, he would not recover from him the 20,000 euros that the court had granted me. “Mr Mazurek, a Member of Parliament, has publicly stated that he is not in favor of money, and I therefore believe that he will take this opportunity to support the Slovak healthcare system.” he bequeathed.

They are now planning to purchase a PCR device that would allow rapid outpatient testing at the first signs of the disease and could help speed up the provision of proper outpatient care for patients with COVID-19.

“Politicians in the Republic have been extremely interested in awarding this state prize, and especially in the funds associated with it, so I hope that they will be pleased with this report and that they will generously support the Slovak healthcare system,” he added.
