Fingerprinting should be mandatory for persons over 12 years of age. This follows from the draft amendment to the Act on Identity Cards. It should also be discussed that a central register of accounts should be established in Slovakia by 2023. The aim is to streamline the investigation of serious crime. Competent authorities will have access to account information and safe deposit boxes.
