Covid Austria today, record infections driven by Omicron: almost 18,500 in 24 hours

In Austria, 18,427 new coronavirus infections have been recorded in the last 24 hours, a record since the start of the pandemic. The newspaper Kronen Zeitung writes it explaining that the spread of the particularly contagious Omicron variant is driving the infection.
