“On the Garonne the maximum (slightly lower than the flood of June 2000) was reached in Toulouse on Tuesday morning”, exceeding 4m30, specifies Vigicrues. “The flood of the Garonne fed by its Gers tributaries will continue in the coming days in the departments of Tarn-et-Garonne, Lot-et-Garonne and Gironde, add the forecasters. On the Gaves and the Adour, the maximums are reached in the upstream sectors. The floods are spreading in the sectors of Orthez and Peyrehorade on the Gaves and on the Adour medium. “
These floods can disrupt traffic conditions, on the road as on the rail network, recalls Vigicrues. They led to the closure of certain schools in Haute-Garonne on Tuesday, as well as disruptions in public transport. The authorities call on residents to be vigilant and not to take the flooded roads.
