Weather forecast: end of the red alert, 9 departments remain on orange alert – LCI

The rains of recent days continue to overflow some rivers. But the hard part is over. The Landes and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques remain under close surveillance but the “flood” vigilance which concerned them has dropped from the red level to the orange level, Météo-France announced at 10 p.m. on Monday.

Still in the South-West, Ariège, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne and Gers remain on orange alert.

In addition, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Haute-Garonne, the Ariège, the Pyrénées-Orientales (and Andorra) remain on “avalanche” orange vigilance. Large-sized avalanches are indeed likely to occur in the most heavily loaded high mountain corridors. They may reach lower altitudes and threaten the infrastructure of winter sports resorts.
