Government eases measures for culture and mass events – TVNOVINY.sk

The government has relaxed the conditions for mass events. They should take place in the OP regime (vaccination – after overcoming the COVID-19 disease). For low-risk events, it recommends a maximum of 100 people or 50 percent capacity. A maximum capacity of 25 percent is recommended for medium risk events.

This follows from the recommendations of the measures to the chief hygienist Ján Mikas, which were approved by the government at its meeting on Monday.

“We have found a compromise solution with the Ministry of Health for at least a partial opening of the culture in the near future. My effort and the effort of the entire ministry has always been to open up the culture so that it is still economically acceptable for the audience and for the organizers, “said the Minister of Culture Natália Milanová (OĽaNO).

Breakdown by risk

The government has included among those low-risk mass events those where a respirator is worn, they are without consumption, sitting is obligatory, they are not sung or encouraged. He proposes an OP regime for them and a maximum of 100 spectators or a capacity of up to 50 percent.

The maximum 25 percent capacity limit should apply to medium-risk mass events that include respirator wear, fixed seating, or standing. The alternative should be 100 spectators as well. In both variants, vaccination or proof of overcoming the disease should be required.

According to the material, weddings, kary, celebrations, parties, balls, discos or events in public catering establishments are considered high-risk events. Wearing a respirator is recommended, but food should be allowed. The maximum number of people allowed at a high-risk event should be 20 people vaccinated and after the disease. The list of participants will be mandatory.

The government has also decided to allow spectators to participate in the European Men’s Handball Championships, to the extent of 25 percent of the capacity of stadiums and other sports facilities.
