Bittó Cigániková is in favor of shortening the quarantine: the Minister of Culture received a large load – NEW TIME

Bittó Cigániková thinks there is a consensus on shortening the quarantine, but this is still being discussed. Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and Deputy Chairman of the Hlas-SD Party Richard Raši (unclassified) admitted that there is more omicron in Slovakia than is presented. “A new mutation will come after omikron. We must learn to live with it,” Rashi said. A member of parliament admitted that there was a lack of samples in the country.

Both MEPs agreed that there were few people who could attend cultural events. Bittó Cigániková considers this number to be “enormously” low. She noted that the vaccine should be free and that, according to her, more than 50 vaccinated people could go to the culture. Rashi called this number “a mockery”.

He called on the Minister of Culture, Natália Milanová (OĽANO), to consider her position and resign herself. Bittó Cigániková admitted that the Minister of Culture is not so visible and could appear more outward. However, SaS will not initiate its appeal. According to Raši, capacity should be considered when attending cultural events. The spectators should also embark on sports events, Raši said.

The discussants also touched on the topic of testing. According to Bittó Cigániková, education has one of the best systems that protects children. “Schools should close last and open first,” Rashi said. According to him, one person should not be a reason to close a classroom, hallway or the whole school. With regard to testing, the chair of the medical committee is in favor of the tests being distributed through pharmacies and people being tested on their own before entering the workplace. She pointed to an example in education, where students are tested in this way through self-tests.

“It is very early to vaccinate children from the age of five,” Rashi said. He claims that they should only be vaccinated if there is a medical indication. Children are not a problem in hospitals, they need to focus on vaccinating the elderly. Bittó Cigániková has no problem vaccinating children, she relies on the opinions of experts and scientists. According to her, compulsory vaccination against COVID-19 is factually unfeasible. The Voice-SD party is against compulsory vaccination, Rashi remarked.

At the round table on the referendum on shortening the term, which is scheduled to be convened by Speaker of Parliament Boris Kollár (We are a family), the Liberals have no problem sitting down. Bittó Cigániková suggests that the round table be held first within the coalition. Subsequently, if they agree on something, it could also take place with the opposition.
