There are 2157 people in the hospitals with COVID-19, there are 431 patients at JIS and OAIM, 215 people need support for artificial lung ventilation. Almost 83 percent of those hospitalized are not vaccinated or have only one dose of vaccine.

9:46 SLOVAKIA – The Prešov region starts vaccinating children from five to 11 years old from Friday. Vaccination of children with a vaccine from Pfizer / BioNTech will be carried out in its large-capacity vaccination center in Prešov and Poprad. He will also make the children’s vaccine available in Humenné on Saturday. Regional spokeswoman Daša Jeleňová informed TASR about this.

“Vaccination of children will be carried out in the presence of a legal representative or upon presentation of a certified authorization, with Comirnaty vaccine from Pfizer / BioNTech, which is available in Slovakia for this age group without restriction. Previously it was intended only for high-risk children at the risk of a severe course of the disease, “said Jeleňová.
