RUST – Two months later, the tragedy that occurred on the set of Rust continues to talk. Asked this Wednesday January 5 by The Hollywood Reporter on the death of Halyna Hutchins, caused by a accidental shooting of the actor Alec baldwin, Nicolas cage, which will soon be showing in the remake of Dracula, did not mince words.

The gunsmith of Rust questioned

At the end of October, Alec Baldwin, star of the western Rust, had accidentally killed Halyna Hutchins, the director of photography of the film, with a pistol shot with live ammunition, however strictly prohibited on Hollywood shoots. Joel souza, director of the feature film, was also touched, but finally got out of it.

The weapon in question, which had been presented to the actor as harmless by first assistant director Dave Halls, had not been properly verified by gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. The 24-year-old had acknowledged negligence, but denied the presence of real bullets on the set.

“This has to be the worst situation I have ever been involved in, and I am hopeful that those charged with investigating this whole matter will find out the truth as soon as possible. No one wants the truth more than I do, ”Alec Baldwin said recently in a lengthy video posted to Instagram.
