The largest city in Kazakhstan, Almaty, was fired again on Thursday afternoon. The megaphones sounded urgently: “Leave the square, otherwise we will start firing!” But this was already heard not only from the Republic Square, but also from the immediate vicinity.

Eyewitnesses report dead and injured. Not only Kazakh armed forces are on the streets, but also Russian paratroopers called to help by Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev. However, whoever shoots at whom can hardly be distinguished.

According to unverified reports, there are dozens of dead on the protesters’ side. Nobody knows the exact number. The Kazakh Ministry of Health reports more than a thousand injured.

Robbing and falling heads

According to official sources, 13 people were killed on the side of Kazakh police on Thursday afternoon. The bodies of two of them were, they claim Russian media (the credibility of Russian media reports related to state propaganda cannot always be verified), found without a head. There were reports that six arms stores had been looted in Almaty.
