The case of subsidies for six pigs in the family business of the Secretary of State: Up to 4,500 euros went for one – TVNOVINY.sk

Up to 4,500 euros per pig and its protection from the African sea. The family company of State Secretary Milan Kyseľ received such a subsidy.

The Minister of Agriculture defends his subordinate. He claims that the subsidies helped many farms and were distributed correctly. The Secretary of State eventually offered the position anyway.

With our camera we went to see the lazy in the village Pliešovce, part Zaježová. We were looking for the Rimanec family business, which until recently was run by Secretary of State Milan Kyseľ. After taking office, he officially left the farm to his wife and son.

It was to protect the pigs from the African sea that the farm received a subsidy that lifted many breeders from their chairs. Is it okay to take a subsidy from public money through a ministry where the immediate family is the boss? We wanted to hear their version of the story on the farm, but we were not welcome. The administrator, who is the son of the Secretary of State, said on the phone that we had to make an appointment.

A male voice denied everything on the phone

We called the number that the farm has listed publicly. Coincidentally, this is a number directly to the Secretary of State. A male voice on the other side denied us that we had called the Rimanec farm. We later tried to do so from the Bratislava newsroom, but he turned us down again.

The subsidy for six pigs in the state secretary’s barn first disappeared in the interwar period, although the opposition spoke of the most expensive pigs in history. The non-traditional non-parliamentary couple Alojz Hlina and former Minister of Agriculture Zsolt Simon have now mobilized for criticism.

The Ministry of Subsidies calculated according to the formula. It took into account the impact of the farm on the African sea, COVID or the placement of production on the Slovak market. The number of pigs was not taken into account so that most of the money was not swallowed by large farms. That is why the farm with six pigs received 27,000 euros.

The Secretary of State resisted the resignation throughout the holidays, and finally did so on Tuesday (January 4). Acid does not want to leave now, but until the end of January.
