Covid-19: more than 1.8 million tests carried out every day, the SI-DEP platform again saturated – franceinfo

The SI-DEP website, which makes it possible to deliver and retrieve the results of Covid-19 screenings, again experienced strong slowdowns on Wednesday January 5, told France Blue the spokesperson for the Union of Community Pharmacists Unions, Gilles Bonnefond. Like on Christmas Eve and “like every time there is a lot of activity” according to him, the platform is saturated and undergoes “micro-interruptions” minutes that sometimes prevent pharmacists from communicating test results to their patients.

“We are breaking all records”, indicates to France Bleu Gilles Bonnefond, with approximately more than 1.8 million tests per day, of which “600,000 to 700,000 PCR tests”. “It’s madness (…) the systems saturate”, estimates the spokesperson for the Union of trade unions of dispensing pharmacists.
