Hygienists uncovered four more cases of omicron and revealed how they went – TVNOVINY.sk

In Slovakia, another four cases of a new omicron mutation were confirmed. The Public Health Office informed about it. All four were vaccinated twice.

The first person has no travel history. The clinical course of the disease was mild, and measures were followed.

The other person has a confirmed travel history and is also in close contact with positive people. The clinical course of the disease was mild, the measures were followed. In total, we have so far identified eleven cases of the new variant. However, hygienists warn that there may actually be more cases of omicron in Slovakia.

The ongoing December sequencing results show that delta variants still dominate in Slovakia. Sequencing confirmed in 98.6 percent of laboratory-tested positive samples. The omicron variant was continuously confirmed in 0.5 percent of laboratory-examined positive samples, the other variants were 0.9 percent.
