Covid-19: a monthly premium for nurses in critical care services

In the aftermath of a tightening restrictions due to the fifth wave of Covid-19 and the spread of the Omicron variant, the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, announced, Tuesday, December 28, the payment of a monthly bonus in the amount of 100 euros net to nurses in critical care and resuscitation services.

“These services require a qualification, a very strong technicality and the difficulty of this task can be detrimental to the attractiveness of these services”, explained the Prime Minister, specifying that the“Intention [du gouvernement] is to follow the guidelines ” a report from the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs (IGAS) on the subject, which the Minister of Health will present next week.

Some 24,000 people are affected by this salary increase, according to Mr. Castex, who spoke at the end of a visit, alongside the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, of an intensive care unit of the intercommunal hospital center from Créteil.

“We are going to implement from January 2022 one of the strong measures proposed by this report, which is to grant nurses in these critical care services, which still amounts to around 24,000 in France, a bonus. recognizing this specificity, this technicality, of 100 euros per month, which will therefore be paid from January ”, he said.
