CONCERTS – This is one of the consequences of government announcements Monday, December 27. The rapper’s tour Orelsan will be canceled ”at least until January 25”, announced the Director General Live Nation France on RMC, Angelo Gopée.

“To curb the Omicron variant” which is fueling the rise in Covid-19 contaminations, the Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the return of the gauges, set at 2,000 people maximum indoors and 5,000 outdoors. And standing concerts will be banned altogether.

″ It means that it is the chaos which returns, whereas we are in a period when we should celebrate, regrets Angelo Gopée who recalls that “the standing gauges had just been restored”.

“We cannot reimburse half of a room, adds Angelo Gopée. It is discriminatory. Who are you going to reimburse and why? We will be forced to cancel these dates altogether because we will not be able to maintain them ”.

“Unable to postpone”

According to him, it is no longer possible to “postpone” concerts because “the halls are almost full until the end of 2022 ″. “It’s impossible to postpone so we’re going to cancel again. Orelsan will be forced to cancel the start of his tour, at least until January 25. ”

As recalled RMC, Orelsan’s first concerts – which were all sold out – were to be held in Caen, where he is from, on January 15, in Rouen on January 19, in Lille on January 20 and in Amiens on January 21.

Other artists, such as Eddy de Pretto or Hoshi, currently on tour, could decide to cancel or postpone their concerts scheduled for the next few days.
