In the final period, they developed a crushing pressure at times, but Jesper Wallstedt in the Swedish goal could not overcome from the number of chances even once.

The triumphs of the Nordics were decided by the goals of Theodor Niederbach, Albert Sjöberg and Daniel Jungman, who sealed the score in the end to an empty goal. The Slovak “twenty” is still waiting for the first points at the championship.

In the Red Deere, fast hockey was played with a lot of chances from the beginning, and the Slovaks were a balanced opponent in the favorite. Already in the 4th minute, Demek got into an excellent shooting position, but he aimed closely at the goal. In the 6th minute, Mešár was close to opening the scoring, who found himself alone in front of Slafkovsky’s butt in front of the goal, but only hit Wallstedt. The Swedes showed how the chances are to change in the 7th minute, when Eklund found Niederbach in the overdrive ring, who aimed exactly at the far corner – 1: 0. The skate-advanced Northerners knew how to penetrate the attack zone in a flash, and when they picked up speed, it was difficult to stop them from the puck. In the 10th minute, Latkóczy struck a great shot at Stakkestad’s match after the Swedes got the renumbering 2 to 1. However, the Slovaks had no respect for the resounding opponent and shot him 13: 4 in the first period. The Slovaks tried to get a quick answer. Petrovsky asked for a foul and won a power play for his team, but Mešár and Dvorský’s shots did not bring goal joy. In the 4 on 4 game, Chromiak then overcame Wallstedt twice, who excelled even after an excellent individual action and the end of the German. In the 36th minute, the Slovaks failed in defense and Latkóczy only struck out Holtz’s shot. Kňažko did not succeed on the other side in the ending.

The Slovaks stepped up their offensive efforts in the third period. In the 2 to 1 renumbering, Slafkovský did not hit the goal, immediately Wallstedt hit Mykluch after a shot and also eliminated Chromiak’s hit. In the end, the Slovaks recalled Latkóczy from the goal, but they did not manage to dramatize the match, on the contrary, Ljungman sealed the result to the empty goal in the final 3-0 for Sweden.
