The traffic accident, which occurred on Thursday (December 23) evening near the village of Dargov in the district of Trebišov, claimed two victims. TASR was informed about this by Lenka Ivanová, a spokeswoman for the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Košice.

“Shortly before 6 pm, a 49-year-old Ukrainian citizen was driving a Škoda Octavia passenger car on the road in the direction from the Dargov mountain pass to the village of Dargov. and then to the front of the bus, which was heading from Dargov to Košice at the time. the injuries they suffered on the spot in the traffic accident, “said Ivanová.

According to her, the bus driver and the passengers in it were not injured. According to Ivan, the bus driver’s breath test was negative. Whether the driver of the Škoda Octavia drank alcohol or other drugs before driving will be ascertained at autopsy. The total preliminary damage was estimated at almost 17,000 euros.

An investigator in the criminal police department of the District Directorate of the Police Force in Trebišov, after documenting the traffic accident, began criminal prosecution for the crime of death.
“The exact cause of this tragic traffic accident, its details and the degree of fault of its participants will be the subject of further investigation by Trebišov traffic police officers with the participation of an expert from the road transport department who was present at the accident site at the time of its documentation,” Ivanová added.
