Covid Israel today, 1,400 infections: a new record for over two months

Israel reports 1,400 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours out of approximately 98,500 tests carried out. It is, Ynet points out, the most worrying data for over two months. The R index is at 1.34 and there are 9,591 active cases. 124 Covid patients are hospitalized, 83 in “serious” conditions. Among these cases, according to Ynet, 70 people are not vaccinated against Covid-19, five have received two doses of the vaccine and the other eight also the ‘booster’.
