In Russia, more than 300,000 deaths have been confirmed since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. The official data reported by the Tass agency indicate 25,264 new infections, after the peak between October and November, and another 1,020 deaths in the last 24 hours, which bring the bulletin to 10,292,983 cases since the beginning of the emergency with 300,269 victims. The active cases, reports the Tass, are 895,193. St. Petersburg is the city in which the highest number of infections reported in the last 24 hours was recorded, 2,166, followed by Moscow, 1,904, where, however, 81 deaths were recorded compared to 60 confirmed by St. Petersburg.
