COURCHEVEL – Slovak skier Petra Vlhová finished fourth in Tuesday’s huge slalom of the World Cup. He will get a chance to improve his position today, when another huge slalom is on the program in Courchevel. This time as a replacement for the canceled November competition in Killington, USA.

Vlhová returned to the competition slopes on Tuesday after a break of more than three weeks. She opened the race with start number 1 and after the first round she was in sixth place by 1.39 seconds behind the leader Shiffrin. The Slovak national team showed a better second race and the third best time of the second round brought Vlhová two positions higher.

“I went well in the second round, unfortunately, someone has to be fourth. This time it was me, I lost everything in the first round. I’m sorry, I made a lot of mistakes, I didn’t go well. We’re already at such a level that “Every day it turns out, we have a new day tomorrow, I will try to regenerate,” said 26-year-old Vlhová for JOJ Šport.

Žreb also assigned Vlh’s unit to Wednesday’s race and will start first again. This time Marta Bassinová will go with her two. The winner, Mikaela Shiffrin, was given the same number as on Tuesday, so she will be wearing five again.
