Caromb: actor Pierre Cassignard died at 56 – Provence

The actor of theater, cinema and television, actor Pierre Cassignard died Monday, the day after his 56th birthday. He had struggled for a long time with a long illness. Pierre Cassignard decides to become an actor after discovering Yves Montand at the Olympia at the age of 15. He had also created in September 2018 a recital around the repertoire of Yves Montand “Un soir avec Montand” accompanied on the piano. His last appearance on the boards dates back to 2019 in “A great cry of love” by Josiane Balasko.

A theater actor therefore, Pierre Cassignard has also tried his hand at directing twice with “Mange” and “Comme à la maison”, two plays by Bénédicte Fossey and Éric Romand. If he therefore trod mostly boards, the actor has also played on television. In recent years, viewers have been able to admire him in Cain, The Blood of the Vine, Murders in Etretat, Research Sections or in the last unpublished season of The Small Murders of Agathe Christie, this year. In the cinema, Pierre Cassignard has played in L’Étudiante et Monsieur Henri, Un homme et son chien or La Conquête.
