“There has never been any seduction”: Amandine Cornette de Saint-Cyr looks back on the assault on Patrick Poivre d’Arvor – Closer France

The former presenter of the 20 hours of TF1 is increasingly cornered by the testimonies of women whom he has allegedly sexually abused during his career. After giving the floor to eight of them, the newspaper Liberation revealed a real media scandal. Guest on the set of C to You this Wednesday, December 15, Amandine Cornette de Saint-Cyr, one of his victims, once again told his story openly.

“He’s a very direct, intrusive man. He asked me in front of other people in the editorial staff if I was married, how old I was … Then he took action at the time of the Cannes film festival in 2009, two years later. We were on the pontoon in front of the hotel, I had noticed that he liked me. As we already knew each other, we talk to each other. And there he asks me again if I have a boyfriend then invites me to climb the stairs with him“, she began her story, in front of the closed faces of the chroniclers of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine.

“Where the matter is complex is that we are seduced by the image of Patrick Poivre d’Arvor. He is a brilliant, literary man, whom I admired a lot. I have been nourished since I was little by her news reports. He is a man who inspired me with confidence. I was not against, even honored that he invited me to go up the stairs with him. I felt privileged even thoughthere was a gap with him between the public man and what he released“, continued the author.

Before continuing his story: “The victims find it difficult to understand who he really is because they have been nourished by his public image. By the time I meet him at the hotel before going up the stairs with him, I wait for him and I see him in a bathrobe on returning to his room. Therefore I understand directly. On the other hand, I would like to stress that there was no physical violence and that I was not forced to do anything. If I contacted Liberation it is because I was shocked by the similarity of his modus operandi with his other victims “.

“We saw each other a little bit before that, but when I went up to the room I ended up with someone who was already naked. I could have left, which I did not. He didn’t force me but I felt trapped. I don’t think I felt in danger, rather deceived by the person. I had to deal with some kind of predator whereas before I didn’t even have the impression of dealing with a seducer, because there has never been seduction “.
