Genesis pride fully revealed. The G90 with its luxurious interior will eventually be acquired exclusively by a six-cylinder – REFRESHER

It took just a few days and after the release of the first official exterior photos, Genesis introduces its all-new flagship.

The majestic G90 with traditional aesthetic elements (split Two-Line lights and a downwardly tapering Crest Grille mask) already offers us a view of the interior and under the hood. The luxury branch of the Hyundai brand has just revealed the 2nd generation of its pride, which is fundamentally new and it is not just a disguised Hyundai Equus, as has been the case so far.

There will be two body lengths to choose from, which are related to the extended wheelbase of the LWB version (3,180 vs 3,370 mm) – while the standard variant has a total length of 5,275 millimeters, the extended one measures up to 5,465 millimeters. Of course, the rear pair of passengers mainly benefits from the extension. Visually, the individual body lengths do not differ from each other, but the difference occurs in the technical specifications.

The common denominator is the identical 3.5 T-GDi six-cylinder petrol engine with 280 kW / 380 hp and 530 Nm of torque, but the extended version received an additional electric compressor. It complements the conventional turbocharger and serves to improve the response at low speeds.

At the same time, the G90 LWB has both axles and rear wheels as standard. The transmission is handled by an 8-speed automatic transmission and adaptive air suspension is standard. The former eight-cylinder is no longer planned.

Looking into the interior, we see up to 3 screens at the front (12.3 ”alarm clocks, 12.3” infotainment and finally a smaller air conditioning display) and 3 at the rear (8 ”in the center backrest and two 10.2” in the front seat headrests).

The equipment does not lack a number of premium items – a high-quality Bang & Olufsen audio system with a host of up to 23 speakers, 3 types of fragrances, massage functions, head-up display, digital key or automatic door opening and closing as part of a comfortable function.

Despite the fact that Genesis has started a major expansion into European markets, the new flagship of the luxury carmaker is not going to do so during this period.
