Covid today Switzerland, 11,167 infections and 41 deaths

In the last 24 hours, 11,167 new coronavirus infections, 41 deaths and 220 hospitalizations for covid-19 have been recorded in Switzerland, according to data published by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). There were 12,598 new cases on Wednesday. During the last 24 hours, the results of 78,307 tests have been transmitted, with a positive rate of 14.26%. Over the span of two weeks, the total number of infections is 123,173. The cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days are 1414.26. In Ticino, in 24 hours, 264 new positive people were counted but no deaths. In the Grisons, there were 176 new infections and one death was recorded. 66.54% of the population in Switzerland is fully vaccinated. 47.38% of people over 65 have already received a third dose. Since the start of the pandemic, 1,154,690 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In total there are 11,517 deaths and the number of people hospitalized stands at 37,470.
