You are looking at the new Mazda 2 and the new Mazda 2 Hybrid. Find 5 differences! – Podkapotou.sk

Well tell me, don’t they look like them? Not? Really? How is that? Do they look different? How? I’m Yaris? But no …

The handy little Mazda 2 hatchback has been on the market since 2014. If you thought a new generation was coming, then no. Not yet. And why, because a small car is still good and has only been here for seven years. The Mazda 2 DJ / DL doesn’t go anywhere, on the contrary. It returns with fresh 1.5 Skyactiv-G engines with outputs of 75, 90 and 110 hp. All without the use of a turbo, four cylinders, six-speed manual transmissions, or a six-speed automatic. And those more powerful versions with a manual case – 90 and 110 – are already marked as e-Skyactiv G and have mild-hybrid technology developing from the basics that owners and users of Mazda 3 or CX30 models already know well. New for 2022 will be the special edition of Homur, two new colors, including the one in the title image, and CarPlay wireless connectivity.

For the 2022 model year, Mazda has another “inconspicuous” newspaper. It is an FHEV version (full hybrid electric vehicle). The fully hybrid self-charging system is something completely new with the Mazda brand. The carmaker has so far relied heavily on its highly efficient internal combustion engines and microhybrid and mild-hybrid technologies, respectively. But times are cruel, so the designers in Hiroshima did not sleep day and night, and when they finished their work, they put it straight into the smallest car on the European offer. It is said to be the 4th generation of fully hybrid drive.

A certain disadvantage for Mazda 2 fans may be a completely different body, which also belongs to the Hybrid version. Well, the designers couldn’t do otherwise. They tried and tried, and each time a body different from the original model came out of it. Maybe that’s why it’s the 4th generation hybrid system. The first three probably got even less on the Mazda 2.

But now seriously. I don’t have to walk around the hot porridge anymore and I’ll tell you something that you certainly wouldn’t think of when looking at the title picture. Prepare the word shock. Aha: The hybrid Mazda 2 is actually a Toyota Yaris. I know it sounds incredible, but try to cover up the eloquent Mazda logo and you’ll find indisputable proof. Verily, the Mazda 2 in the hybrid version is the Toyota Yaris … Shock.

Perhaps this will be because the emission standards in Europe are already a bit per capita, especially in the Euro7 emission standard, which is already around the corner. Or will it be that Mazda and Toyota deepen their cooperation to the extent that they share models? Really, something similar applies to Suzuki and Subaru. Honda and Mitsubishi remain outside this carousel of Japanese technology, each of these brands for a different reason.

The Mazda 2 Hybrid also has a 1.5-liter Podkapotou engine, just a three-cylinder. The total power of the system is 85 kW. Either way, under the auspices of the Mazda brand, you can buy a slightly older hatchback with excellent atmospheric engines, or the currently best small hatchback on the market with the currently best full hybrid system on the market.

But if you want a Yaris, only an interesting price combined with equipment could convince you of the Mazda. However, we will find out the details later. The car will be manufactured by European Toyota, which Yaris already produces in two European factories, and the first pieces will hit the market next spring.
