5020 people were vaccinated in the large-scale vaccination centers (VOCs) of the Nitra self-governing region (NSK) last weekend. According to Helena Psotová, director of the NSK Office, this is an enormous increase in interest compared to previous weekends.

In social services facilities (ZSS), it is gradually approaching 90 percent. “88.8 percent of social service recipients have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine so far. The second dose was vaccinated by 87.4 percent and the third by 67.4 percent of service recipients. ” Psotová said.

For ZSS employees in the Nitra region, the vaccination rate with the first dose is 73 percent and with the second dose 72 percent. So far, 31 percent of workers in the ZSS have received the third benefit. “We recorded the disease at COVID-19 in six ZSS. Nine clients and 15 employees are positive, ” Psotová stated.

As she reminded, the region will also be vaccinated next weekend. Vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderny and Johnson & Johnson will be administered to registered and unregistered applicants in the VOC on Slančíkova Street in Nitra on Saturday and Sunday (December 18 and 19). On both weekends, he will be vaccinated with Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna vaccines also at the VOC in the polyclinics in Šala and Štúrovo.

In recent weeks, the Košice self-governing region (KSK) has been seeing increased interest in vaccinations against COVID-19. While 6,400 people were vaccinated in October, it was 30,600 in November. According to his website, the number of people who come for the first dose of the vaccine has also increased. Over the weekend, they administered the 1781 vaccine to the first-time vaccinees.

The region reminds that since Saturday (December 11) it has been a part of the nationwide Let’s Give Christmas campaign, which was prepared by the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with all regions. “We all wish a happy and healthy Christmas, so we have joined this initiative and increased our vaccination capacities.
