PS5: official facades and new confirmed DualSense, discover their prices, colors and release dates! – GAMERGEN.COM

Even before the launch of the PlayStation 5, we discovered that its shell could be easily removed to access its interior, and therefore potentially be replaced in just a few movements. Sony Interactive Entertainment however, had never declared his desire to offer facades in alternative to its white base which does not please everyone. But many third-party manufacturers quickly entered this market without the agreement of SIE, provoking his anger and threats of legal attack.

Now, no more open secrets, SIE will come out of the official facades for PS5, as he confirms today. We will have the choice, already between models for console equipped with a Blu-ray player or the digital edition, but also between several colors: Cosmic Red, Midnight Black, Nova pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple. The black and red versions will be available from January 21 on Playstation direct and February 18 at participating resellers, with the others to follow later by June 2022, at a price still unknown in France, but $ 54.99 in the United States.

The DualSense already existed in Cosmic Red and Midnight Black, and so that everyone can tune their violins, the controller will also be available in Nova pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple. The purple color will open the ball from January 14 on Playstation direct and February 11 elsewhere. This time, there shouldn’t be any surprises, the price should still be € 69.99.

Today, we are excited to announce the new colors that will join the range of colors available for PS5 accessories: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple. These all-new galaxy-inspired colors join the previous models available for the DualSense wireless controllers: Cosmic Red and Midnight Black. They will be available worldwide in January 2022 at participating resellers.

We are also launching new fronts for PS5 consoles matching the colors of the DualSense wireless controller and inspired by galaxies: Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple.

These new facades are as beautiful as they are easy to use: all you have to do is remove the original white facades from the PS5 and replace them with your new facades. Faceplates for PS5 consoles will be available for both the PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc player and the PS5 Digital Edition console. They are sold separately from the PS5 console and the DualSense wireless controller.

The fronts for PS5 Midnight Black and Cosmic Red consoles will be available from January 2022 at participating retailers in the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea and the Philippines. The fronts for PS5 consoles Nova Pink, Galactic Purple and Starlight Blue will also be available in these countries during the first half of 2022. We plan to launch the fronts for PS5 consoles in other countries and regions during the year. We will make an announcement when we have more details.
