Covid today Israel, vaccines for children 5-11 years old even at school

Israel has begun administering anti-covid vaccines to children aged 5-11 in schools as well. The Jerusalem Post writes it, underlining the government’s effort to immunize the population in the face of the danger of a new wave due to the omicron variant. For weeks, the newspaper reports, 40% of new infections in Israel involved children between the ages of 5 and 11. But vaccination in this age group, which began on November 22, is progressing more slowly than hoped. At the moment about 115 thousand children have received a dose, out of an audience of 1.2 million children.
